VACANCY NOTICEThe Bedford Central School District is seeking aTiered Support Teacher, BilingualMount Kisco Elementary School.Commencing with the 2025 – 2026 School YearPosition Qualifications:• Minimum of 3 years successful classroom experience;• Experience with Response to Intervention• Extensive coursework in the fundamentals of reading instruction, including phonemic awareness, phonics, and language development;• Training in structured literacy approach to teaching reading;• Versed in administering and analyzing a variety of screeners and diagnostic assessments.• Extensive knowledge of K-5 skills progression in mathematics;• Extensive repertoire of effective teaching strategies;• Effective use of data (collection, analysis and use);• Proven collaborator with history of building positive connections with students, families, and faculty;• Strong communication skills;• Reading Certification and/or Dual Certification in Special Education a plus• Fluency in Spanish required.Certification Required: NYS Certification Childhood Education, K-6 or 1-6;Bilingual Extension Required.The Bedford Central School District does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, ethnicity, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
