PROBATIONARY ELEMENTARY ART TEACHER Anticipated Placement: J.V. Forrestal Elementary and Sargent Elementary Requirements: Valid NYS Certification in Art Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in the following are required: NYS Learning Standards and curriculum design, delivery, and assessment; Effective, student centered classroom management strategies; Culturally responsive instructional practices for elementary classrooms; Integration of technology to plan, deliver, and assess student learning; Use of summative and formative student data to inform instructional decisions and student progress; Effective strategies for student and family engagement; Must have knowledge and the ability to use various virtual platforms as needed in relation to the position; Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills required; Experience at the elementary level is preferred.
