Speech Language Pathologist – Early Intervention | Per DiemNassau & Suffolk County In-Home/Community & On-Site LocationsIn-Home/Community Salary: $82/hrOn-Site Locations Salary: $95/hrBrookville Center for Children's Services provides early intervention services for children birth to 3 years of age with developmental delays or disabilities. Our mission is to educate and support children of all abilities.Our Speech Language Pathologist will perform speech-language evaluations and conduct therapy sessions in accordance with students’ IEP/IFSPs.We offer:Competitive payNew York State Sick Leave (NYSSL)Wellness incentivesContinuing education opportunitiesMileage reimbursement (restrictions apply)In addition, you will:Assess students’ needs through a variety of formal and informal measures.Develop and implement appropriate strategies for intervention as per the child’s IEP/IFSP.Conduct training sessions for teachers, staff and/or families in the areas of speech-language intervention.Inform team members of students’ progress on goals and provide activities to be carried over into the classroom/home environments.Respond quickly to children and/or parent/guardian’s request, refer to the appropriate member of the care team, if necessary, and inform the supervisor of actions taken.Promote positive co-worker relationships, teamwork and cooperation; Work collaboratively and is respectful of others.Demonstrate flexibility as well as the ability to handle numerous responsibilities.Participate in supervision and implement recommendations appropriately.We require:Master’s degree in Speech-Language PathologyNew York State Licensure and Registered Speech-Language PathologistCertificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA)Certification by the New York State Education Department as a Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) OR Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD)NYS Medicaid enrollment required upon hireMinimum (1) year related work experience with preschool and special needs population preferredExperience in PROMPT preferredPhysical aspects may include, but are not limited to, lifting and transferring of a studentIn addition to applying on OLAS.
