Blind Brook High School is seeking a Special Education Leave Replacement Teacher to support 9th and 10th grade students in inclusive settings. This position includes Math and Science Consultant Teacher support as well as Learning Center/Resource Room services.Certification Requirements:NYS Special Education (K–12), orStudents with Disabilities 7–12, orStudents with Disabilities 5–12Note: While this role involves push-in support for Math and Science classrooms, specific content-area certification in Math or Science is not required.Responsibilities:Provide direct consultant teacher support in ICT/push-in environments.Deliver targeted intervention and skill development within the Learning Center/Resource Room.Collaborate closely with general education teachers to plan and implement accommodations and modifications.Monitor progress toward IEP goals and maintain compliance with all special education procedures.Communicate regularly and effectively with families, colleagues, and related service providers.Support students’ academic, social-emotional, and executive functioning needs.Qualifications & Skills:Strong knowledge of IEPs, accommodations, and modifications.Demonstrated ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.Experience supporting students with diverse learning profiles preferred.This leave is anticipated to start in April and go through June.Salary is per Blind Brook Federation of Teachers contract.Blind Brook is committed to cultivating and preserving a culture of inclusion and connectedness.
