Ranked among the top high schools in the country, the district is seeking a talented and visionary leader who can build upon the high school’s many accomplishments and valued traditions.Principal - Blind Brook High SchoolEffective July 1, 2026Blind Brook High School serves 402 students with a teaching staff of 48. Over 99% of its graduates enter universities and colleges. To meet the needs of all students, the school offers classes at all levels, including 20 Advanced Placement courses. Last year, over 82 percent of Blind Brook’s students participated in the AP program. Students are provided with an extensive extracurricular program, which includes the performing and fine arts, numerous and diverse clubs, and an athletic program with 22 different sports.The successful candidate will be:An experienced school leader, preferably as a high school principal, who exercises good judgment in addressing the complex issues which arise at the high school level;An effective communicator who can build relationships with different constituent groups, including staff, parents, and students;A leader who is able to use and analyze data to support planning and decision-making;A facilitator who is able to plan and deliver effective professional learning for teachers and staff;A leader who utilizes a collaborative approach to decision making, holding true to what is best for all students;A transparent, consistent decision maker who follows through to ensure that decisions are properly implemented;An instructional leader, willing to learn about Blind Brook High School and develop a shared vision as to how it may be improved;The Blind Brook School District is offering a regionally-competitive compensation package.
