Qualifications:NYS K-5 Common Branch certification requiredFoster a positive learning environment where students work together to solve challenges and achieve project goals.Has experience and knowledge in the field of elementary STEAM educationCan collaborate with other special area and classroom teachers to plan and execute engaging lessons and projects that are aligned with NYS standardsHas a thorough understanding and ability to design and implement problem-based learning experiencesHas the technical skills and knowledge required to safely use and explain modern fabrication and programming technologies (basic CAD, 3D printing, block-based coding, simple robotics etc.)Can build supportive and dynamic relationships with a broad range of students across the K-5 grade spanPrior experience working with young children in a classroom setting is preferred.Blind Brook is committed to cultivating and preserving a culture of inclusion and connectedness.
