A probationary tenure track Social Studies teacher vacancy is available for the 2024-2025 school year at Blind Brook High School Candidates must have a NYS Certification for Social Studies 7-12. The successful candidate will:Have thorough content and pedagogical knowledgeDevelop and implement a high-quality curriculum for various social studies coursesDesign and deliver well-organized and engaging lessonsPromote students’ deep comprehension and understanding of enduring issuesUtilize professional development opportunities to increase pedagogical skills and 21st century skillsWork collaboratively with colleagues across the humanities disciplines to co-teach AP Seminar coursesHave strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish a safe and nurturing classroom cultureBlind Brook is committed to cultivating and preserving a culture of inclusion and connectedness.
