SCHOOL COUNSELOR (GRADES K-5)We seek a successful candidate for a School Counselor (Probationary) who exhibits the following criteria: Provides leadership and collaborates with other educatorsDevelops, maintains, and delivers curriculum in K-5 classrooms to support District social and emotional wellness initiativesAssists all students, individually or in groups in promoting academic and social/emotional growth Accurately and appropriately interprets and utilizes student dataProvides individual and group counseling to students Consults and collaborates effectively with parents/guardians, teachers, administrators and other educational/community resources Individually and in groups, shares information with parents/guardians to support and strengthen the home-school partnershipAssists in the development and monitoring of behavior plansSupports teachers, parents/guardians and other stakeholders in maintaining school’s positive behavior support climate Blind Brook is committed to cultivating and preserving a culture of inclusion and connectedness.
