BALDWIN UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT960 Hastings Street, Baldwin, NY 115102023-2024 VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT POSITION: Guidance Counselor (Probationary) LOCATION: Baldwin High School HOURS: School days EFFECTIVE: 2023-2024 School Year REPORTS TO: High School Administration REQUIREMENTS: NYS School Counselor Certification RESPONSIBILITIES: • Has an understanding of the needs of a diverse population • Willing to familiarize themselves with the implementation of the scheduling process • Is able to effectively intervene with at-risk students academically and socially • Participate in special education conferences: CSE, CST, and Section 504 • Communicate with parents and appropriate professional staff to discuss student needs and progress • Have strong interpersonal communication skills with parents, students, teachers and administrators • Collaborate with staff and administration to promote and maintain a sound learning environment • Other duties as assigned by the principal and/ or supervising administrator COMPENSATION: In accordance with the Baldwin Teachers’ Association Bargaining Agreement APPLICATION DEADLINE DATE: May 31, 2023 APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Apply on OLAS and online through the Baldwin School District website www.baldwinschools.org
