POSITION OVERVIEW The Babylon Union Free School District is seeking an Executive Director of Human Resources. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the district’s human resources and personnel functions, including recruitment and hiring, employee relations, compliance, and personnel systems. The position includes direct responsibility for the district’s Title IX and Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and an understanding of employment law, student protection requirements, and personnel practices within a public school setting. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Oversee the day-to-day operations of the district’s human resources and personnel functions Coordinate recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and staffing processes for instructional, administrative, and support staff Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to employment, labor relations, and personnel practices Serve as the district’s primary administrator overseeing the coordination, investigation, and resolution of Title IX and DASA matters, including complaint intake, documentation, compliance with required protocols and timelines, and related training and professional learning. Support employee relations matters, including complaints and investigations, in collaboration with district leadership and legal counsel Ensure accurate, confidential, and audit-ready maintenance of personnel records and documentation Prepare reports and materials related to personnel actions, compliance, and staffing for administrative and Board review Collaborate with administrators to promote consistent personnel practices and a professional, respectful workplace culture REPORTS TO Superintendent of Schools NYS Human Rights Law prohibits discrimination because of age, national origin, race, color, creed, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, sex, or gender identity or expression.
