We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and visionary High School Business Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching business-related courses, developing and implementing an internship program, and overseeing the building-wide CDOS credential process for both general and special education students. The successful candidate will be a dynamic educator with a “can do” attitude, who is willing to roll up their sleeves and do whatever it takes to find pathways to success for every student, every day. Averill Park High School is a student-centered team environment which keeps the focus on our students. We are not interested in what we have always done, but are instead looking to build a school experience which is rich, meaningful and relevant to the young people of today. Must hold NYS Business and Marketing certification;Must possess exceptional communication skills and work well with students, staff, administration and all stakeholders in the community; Must be self-motivated, organized and have an exceptional work ethic:Teaching experience is preferred, but recent graduates with strong subject knowledge are encouraged to apply.
