NYS SBL Certification Candidates must be innovative, outside-of the box thinkers who keep students at the forefront of all decisions, are able to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholder groups, and have a vision for a high school experience which meets the needs of every student, everyday. At Averill Park High School, we are not interested in “doing what we have always done.” Successful candidates will additionally have demonstrated abilities in instructional leadership, effective student behavioral management, data-driven decision making, and strong organizational and communication skills. Multitasking and an ability to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes with a “yes, I can” attitude is required.
