Job Description: School District Technology and Data DirectorPosition Title: Director of Data and Coordination and AccountabilityReports To: Executive Director of Instructional TechnologyDepartment: Technology DepartmentEmployment Type: Full-TimePosition Summary:The Data Director is responsible for overseeing all data reporting and data-driven initiativeswithin the school district. This includes managing required state and federal data reporting,creating internal reports to support district operations, and collaborating with instructionalleaders to ensure effective use of data in curriculum planning and execution. The role alsoinvolves keeping the district updated on technological trends and tools to enhance educationaloutcomes.Key Responsibilities:1. Data Reporting & AnalysisManage and ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of all required district datareports (state, federal, and other mandated reports).Develop and maintain internal data reports to assist the district in decision-making,tracking progress, and meeting goals.Collaborate with the Executive Director of Instructional Technology to create and deliverad hoc reports as needed.2. Collaboration with Curriculum ImplementationWork closely with district leadership to interpret and analyze data related to curriculumand instructional strategies.Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to help shapeand implement curriculum in alignment with student achievement goals.Assist in the evaluation of curriculum effectiveness by analyzing trends and presentingresults to the executive team.3. Technology Integration & SupportStay informed about the latest developments in educational technology and softwaretools that could support district initiatives and success.Recommend and implement technological solutions to enhance curriculum delivery,improve data management, and support district-wide initiatives.Collaborate with instructional and technology teams to ensure the effective use of newtechnologies and to train staff in their implementation.4. Stakeholder CommunicationMaintain open communication with district leadership, school administrators, andteachers regarding the use of data and technology in decision-making and instruction.Regularly update the Executive Director of Instructional Technology on data trends,reporting status, and the impact of new technology implementations.5. Continuous Improvement & Professional DevelopmentLead initiatives aimed at improving data collection, reporting processes, and theintegration of technology within the district.Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with the changingtechnology landscape, educational software, and data management best practices.6. Compliance & Data GovernanceEnsure that all data reporting adheres to applicable data privacy laws and districtpolicies.Establish and enforce best practices for data governance, including data integrity,confidentiality, and security.* Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent or designeeQualifications:1. Preferred Experience:Educational technology, data management, or a related fieldData reporting, analysis, and interpretation within an educational setting2. Skills & Competencies:Familiarity with educational software, learning management systems, and studentinformation systems (SIS)Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsWillingness to learn new processes independently and with supportSalary & Benefits:Competitive salary based on qualifications, experience, and contractual requirementsRange between $85,000-$90,000Full benefits package including health, dental, and retirement plansApplication Process:To apply, submit your resume, cover letter, and references to OLAS.
