Arlington Central School District is seeking compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work with students on the autism spectrum. As a Teaching Assistant for students on the autism spectrum, you will play a crucial role in creating a supportive and engaging educational experience. Your responsibilities will include working one-on-one in small groups with students, implementing individualized learning plans, and collaborating with teachers to support student success. The Journeys program is located at Arthur S. May School and is well supported by the entire community. 35 hr/wk Special Education Teaching Assistants Starting salary $23,377 plus a $4,000 Journeys Stipend and an additional Health TA stipend of $2,200 Duties will include: Following teacher directives Collaborating with other teachers and staff members Providing behavioral and academic support to students All successful candidates will receive training in behavioral management, academic support and health aide training. The District offers: Paid sick and personal days as well as health insurance coverage for positions that are 20 hrs/wk or more Some paid holidays for those positions of 20 hrs/wk or more.
