The Ardsley School District is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated coach to lead the Girls Junior Varsity Soccer Team. We are looking for an individual who values the role of athletics as an extension of the classroom and is committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the field. The ideal candidate will foster a competitive yet supportive environment that prioritizes growth, teamwork, accountability, and a positive student-athlete experience. This position plays a key role in building the foundation of the girls soccer program and supporting the long-term development of athletes within the program. QUALIFICATIONS: Strong understanding of soccer fundamentals, game strategy, and player development Prior coaching experience at the interscholastic or youth level preferred Ability to connect with and motivate high school student-athletes Effective communication and organizational skills Demonstrated commitment to sportsmanship and educational athletics Interested candidates should possess or be willing to obtain the necessary coaching certification requirements from NYSED. POSITION SUMMARY: The JV Coach is responsible for creating a structured and developmentally appropriate team environment where student-athletes can build skills, confidence, and a strong understanding of the game. The coach will emphasize effort, growth, and team culture while preparing athletes for progression within the program. RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan and lead daily practices that focus on skill development, conditioning, and game concepts Support alignment of program goals and expectations in collaboration with the Varsity coaching staff Supervise student-athletes during all team activities, including practices, games, and team events Model and reinforce appropriate behavior, sportsmanship, and respect for teammates, opponents, and officials Maintain clear and consistent communication with players, families, and school personnel Monitor student-athlete academic progress and reinforce expectations for eligibility and conduct Adhere to all district policies as well as regulations set by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Respond appropriately to injuries and ensure all health and safety protocols are followed Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and team-first program culture Fall Season Start Date: August 24, 2026 In addition to applying on OLAS, you must also apply on our website at www.ardsleyschools.org (click on Careers).
