Ardsley School District is seeking a qualified and motivated head coach to lead our Modified Girls Basketball program. The successful candidate will provide a positive, supportive, and structured environment that fosters skill development, teamwork, and a for the sport of basketball.Responsibilities include:? Planning and conducting effective practices that build basketball fundamentals (i.e. dribbling, passing, shooting).? Emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, and effort in alignment with Ardsley’s core values of Community, Communication, and Character.? Supervising athletes at all practices, games, and team-related activities.? Communicating consistently with athletes, families, and the athletic department.? Ensuring adherence to all Ardsley UFSD, Section, and NYSPHSAA policies and procedures.? Serving as a positive role model, supporting both athletic and academic growth.Qualifications:? Prior coaching and/or playing experience in basketball required (youth, scholastic, or higher levels).? Ability to teach and develop fundamental basketball skills for beginner to intermediate athletes.? Strong communication and organizational skills.?
