District Special Education Tutor - APW Job Description: Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School District (APW CSD) is looking for a dynamic individual for the position of District Special Education Tutor for the 2022/2023 school year.APW is looking for an enthusiastic tutor who will establish a developmentally appropriate, positive, inclusive and safe learning environment for learners in grades K-12. The tutor will meet the individualized needs of students who are unable to participate in a traditional school day. Collaboration and teamwork will be essential in order to promote individual student growth. The ideal candidate must:•Hold valid NYS Special Education Certification•Ability to relate to and work with children with disabilities•Possess the ability to individualize instruction based on student needs and IEP/504documents•Possess excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.•Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.*Only candidates with valid NYS Certification need apply. The position will be based on student need.
