SUBJECT: PER DIEM SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS 2026/2027 School Year The Amityville Union Free School District is seeking Per-Diem Certified Substitute Teachers at all grade Levels for the 2026/2027 school year. The responsibilities include: Providing instructional support by covering teacher absences throughout the school year. Following lesson plans, manage classroom behavior, and ensure continuity in student learning. Collaborating with full-time staff and administrators to maintain a positive and effective learning environment. This role requires flexibility, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to adapt to various grade levels and subjects. QUALIFICATIONS: NYS Certification Classroom teaching experience preferred All positions must be fingerprinted through the NYS Department of Education NOTE: The district withholds the right to change substitute placements in the event of an emergency. SALARY: ATA Contract / $175 per day
