SUBJECT: SPEECH TEACHER – Leave Replacement Estimated timeline 08/27/2025 – 01/02/2026We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team as a probationary staff member for a temporary leave replacement position from September to January. This role is ideal for a clinician with experience and/or interest in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device training and support. As a key member of our team, you will work directly with clients and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to provide high-quality speech therapy services.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide speech-language therapy services to clients, with a focus on AAC device training, support, and implementation.Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individualized therapy sessions to clients.Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other team members to ensure consistency and progress in communication goals.Educate staff and families on effective strategies for using AAC devices.Participate in team meetings and contribute to client progress discussions.Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulations and best practices.QUALIFICATIONS:Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.Experience with AAC devices, including training and implementation, is highly desirable.Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Availability to start in September and continue through January for the leave replacement position.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:Familiarity with various AAC systems, including both high-tech and low-tech devices.Previous experience working with children and/or adults with communication disorders requiring AAC.Ability to provide training to staff and families on AAC strategies.
