The Parent Engagement Coordinator is responsible for supporting the parents of students in a variety of ways. The PEC will be responsible for providing parent workshops, sharing relevant information with parents, and helping connect parents with community resources that aid in parenting a student with a disability. The PEC will work to have parents meaningfully participate in their child’s education. This position will also assist in fundraising and advocacy efforts..Qualifications: Minimum of an Associate Degree is required. Experience in the care and/or education of children with disabilities. Must be organized, detail-oriented and possess excellent communication/writing skills. Must have strong computer skills. Must be comfortable with public presentationsJob Type: Full timeLocation: East SetauketHours: Monday to Friday 8:30-4:00 70 hours biweeklySalary Range: $55,000-$65,000 Benefits available
