The Afton Central School District is accepting applications for a PK-12 Assistant Principal/Athletic Director. This is a 12-month position. The successful candidate will be appointed to a regular probationary appointment as soon as possible. Qualifications: NYS Certification – School Administration/Supervisor (SAS) or School District Administrator (SDA) or School District Leader (SDL) or School Building Leader (SBL); Successful teaching and/or administrative experience; Excellent communication skills – verbal and written; Evidence of instructional leadership, staff development capabilities, and expertise in compensatory education; Evidence of ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, students and parents; Commitment to school community.The successful candidate will assist the principals with the instructional leadership for 500 students and 100 staff members.Salary for the position is negotiable depending upon the experience and education of the successful candidate.
