Who We NeedAbilities First is seeking a patient, energetic, and passionate IEP/Resource Coordinator to join our Educational Learning Experience program in New Windsor. This is an administrative position that serves as the liaison between school districts’ special education committees, the counties and our schools to assist pre-school staff in meeting the Individual Education Plan mandates. Schedule: Monday – Friday 40 hours a week / 52 weeks per yearSalary: $60,667.00 - $61,667.00 a year Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: IEP Management Managing all IEP writing, progress reporting, amendments, annual reviews, triennials and complianceEnsuring timely delivery of all IEP services and obtaining necessary scripts for services. Assisting Therapy Coordinator with student account set up, access, assignments in Frontline/IEP Direct, Kinney and CPSE Portal Reviewing children’s progress notes prior to being released to families. Conducting CPSE meetings for assigned programs.Connecting families to community-based resources and providing advocacy servicesAnnual Reviews Planning and coordinating all annual review meetings.Maintaining schedules of annual review meetings for the districts.Presenting annual review reports to the committee on special education Leading all teachers and therapists in annual review procedures.Attend Alliance meeting, & all county meetingsEvaluationsManaging and scheduling evaluations and referralsObtaining prior written notice, parental consent, and documents required for testing.Writing the evaluation summary for all sections using evaluations completed.Reviewing results of testing with parentsSubmitting reports to counties, school districts and parents via mail. Scheduling meetings with the district.
