This position would be contract based for our students ranging from ages Kindergarten - 21 years of age.Become involved in the incredible mission of Abilities First, Inc., by providing people with disabilities and their families with support to attain independence, self-determination, integration and acceptance by others through education, exploration and experience.RequirementsAppropriate New York State Certification as a Teacher of the Visually ImpairedDemonstrated understanding of the federal, state, and local mandates governing the determination and delivery of special education services.Ability to work effectively with administrators, colleagues, and school based on staff, students, parents and community membersExcellent human relations skills and a working knowledge of the English language in written and verbal form
