Abilities First, Inc., a CQL accredited organization, has been making a difference in the lives of people with developmental disabilities for over fifty years. Starting out as The Little Red School House in 1962, Abilities First, Inc. has evolved into the Hudson Valley’s premiere provider of support services for individuals with developmental disabilities. We offer a wide variety of services including School, Preschool and UPK programs.Part time Speech Therapist position available in our preschool program located in New Windsor, NY. This position will be responsible for the speech therapy program assigned case load at our New Windsor Preschool. Responsibilities include:Initial evaluation/periodic re-evaluationProgram planning and implementation of programScheduling of caseload in conjunction with classroom staff and other related servicesCoordination of program between student, counselor/teacher and case managementThis position is crucial to the development of children of all ages. We follow a school calendar, as well as a six week summer program. This position will be 16 to 24 hours per week.Become involved in the incredible mission of Abilities First, Inc., by providing people with disabilities and their families with support to attain independence, self-determination, integration and acceptance by others through education, exploration and experience.Completion of Master’s Degree Program from an accredited College/University.Licensed by NYS Department of Education as a Speech Pathologist.NYS teacher certification required.Experience with oral motor, dysphagia, and augmentative communications helpful!
